St. Mary Catholic School
Kindergarten Classroom
Notes From The Teacher
Mrs. Renee Moynihan
It is an absolute privilege to be here at St. Mary! I am thankful to learn and pray with some of our youngest students.
Growing up on the Northwest side of Chicago, I was able to work in Childcare centers and Nursery schools as a teacher and director. I accepted a contract to teach First and Second grades at a small Greek Orthodox school, but when I was offered a move to 5yr. Kindergarten it felt like home. Kindergarten rooms are my happy place. This is my 19th year teaching in a parochial school, with fourteen of those being in the Diocese.
In my spare time I really enjoy spending time with my husband Mike and our very spoiled cat Isabella. My sister resides in Chicago with the rest of our family. We love to relax in the backyard of her house, just talking with friends. I also love to exchange ideas with her as she is retiring after teaching Kindergarten in Chicago. It is true that I am not a fan of snow, and this time of year, Mike and I enjoy watching the Pack and of course Svengoli on Saturday evenings.
I look forward to facilitating an early childhood classroom that celebrates all of our children and supports them in their journey as Christians and lifelong learners.
