Mr. Mark Giannoni

Director of Academics & Student Affairs

My name is Mr. Mark Giannoni, and I have been teaching here since 2007. This year, I am teaching fifth and sixth grade at St. Mary Catholic School. I am also teaching math to fourth grade students. I love being able to offer after school programs such as Readers Theatre and Early Bird Reading.

This summer I took a Project Based Learning class through Viterbo University. I am excited to start incorporating PBL into my lessons. We started the school year with a field trip to Menomonee Park in Oshkosh where students were able to experience sailing on Lake Winnebago. This was an amazing opportunity for the students and teachers. This hands-on learning gave all of us a greater appreciation for the art of sailing.

We are now inspired to incorporate sailing concepts into the classroom during math and science lessons. We plan to build our own sails and test them this spring when we return to Lake Winnebago for another sailing adventure.

I am blessed to be teaching in a Christ-centered environment where the focus is on the educational, spiritual and social needs of each and every child. I am committed to providing a safe learning environment that is both exciting and rigorous, one that empowers both student and teacher in pursuing a Catholic education.

I pride myself in getting to know my students and treating each student as an individual regardless of class size. Above all, I treat my students with the utmost respect.

I am excited to be part of a faculty that supports and encourages innovative teaching techniques in a faith-based environment.
