The Early Childhood Education Program: A New Beginning
This is an exciting time in your child’s life which we at St. Mary Catholic School are honored to share with you. This is also a very sensitive time. During these early years, children shape their basic values while learning about themselves and others. Our goal at St. Mary Catholic School is to provide a cooperative journey shared by the children, parents and teachers. Children will learn at their own rate while their talents and strengths are celebrated. We are prepared to do our part in nurturing your child through a high quality education.
We also offer the flexibility to repeat our program based on late birthdays or other needs. Children need to be 3 years old before September 1 to enroll in our 3K program and 4 years old before September 1 to enroll in our 4K program, and be bathroom trained.
The 3K and 4K programs at St. Mary Catholic School provide age-appropriate curriculums which nurture each child’s intellectual, emotional, physical, social, moral and spiritual needs. We provide a Christian-centered learning environment that promotes faith, family values and academic excellence.
Hands-on learning experiences are at the center of our program, and theme-based units will help children expand their knowledge base. Socialization skills, science exploration and art enrichment (music, theatre and art) will enhance the preschool program experience for each child. We will promote each child’s self-help skills and manners as children learn to interact with peers and adults in a positive and respectful way. All activities are designed to promote Kindergarten readiness.
At St. Mary Catholic School, we pride ourselves in the small class size knowing that each child receives the much-needed attention he/she needs and deserves to grow and learn. Students really do thrive in our small, private school setting. St. Mary Catholic School remains committed, ensuring that each child receives the sincere interest, respect and assistance from his/her educator every day, making each child’s learning experience the very best available.
Moral Values: A Foundation for Life
Central to the preschool program as well as our Kindergarten through Grade 6 curriculum is the promotion of moral values. These are life skills that we feel children need to be exposed to very early in life in order for each child to reach his/her full potential.
We will talk about honesty, how to be trustworthy, acceptance of each other, forgiveness, respect for each other and the world, conservation of materials, appreciation for all of God’s gifts, patience, service, and love. Integrating value education in the curriculum will help the children build character, confidence and self-esteem.
Our Teachers and Staff
Parents will have comfort knowing that their children are in a fun, caring, safe and nurturing educational environment. Our high quality team of state-licensed teachers, staff and volunteers are VIRTUS trained through the Diocese of Green Bay, CPR, First Aid and AED certified and have completed background checks. Moreover, our instructors have their religious education certification through the Diocese of Green Bay.
Family Involvement
Parental involvement is very important in the education of your child. After all, you are your child’s most important teacher and will continue in that role for years to come. We value parental participation and realize that parents are an integral part of the success of our school. Parents are welcome to visit the school and volunteer in the classrooms and for special events. We truly look forward to partnering with you!
Tuition for Early Childhood Education is reasonable. Financial assistance is always available. No child will be denied an education at our school.
